Rev. Mark Connolly
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts Rev. Mark Connolly started THE SUNDAY MASS on television in the New York Area in 1970. In 1993, Fr. Connolly was named the Director of Radio and Television in the Diocese of Bridgeport. He is well known in the field of Radio and Television. Presently, Father is the host of an ABC syndicated show called THOUGHTS FOR THE WEEK which is aired every Sunday morning throughout the country.



Bishop William E. Lori, S.T.D.
The Most Reverend William Edward Lori was born on May 6, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, the second of three sons of Margaret and Francis Lori.

He obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the Seminary of Saint Pius X in Erlanger, Kentucky, in 1973, and a Master's Degree from Mount Saint Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, in 1977. In 1982, Bishop Lori received his Doctorate in Sacred Theology (S.T.D.) from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.

Bishop Lori was ordained to the priesthood by William Cardinal Baum on May 14, 1977, in Saint Matthew Cathedral in Washington. His first assignment was as Associate Pastor of Saint Joseph Parish in Landover, Maryland, a position he held for five years. Thereafter, Bishop Lori held a number of official chancery positions in the Archdiocese.

In 1982 he became Theological Advisor to His Eminence, James Cardinal Hickey, Archbishop of Washington, an assignment he held until last year. From 1983-1994, he served as Secretary to Cardinal Hickey.

From 1982-1986 he was Director of Ecumenical Affairs for the Archdiocese. From 1988-1994, he was Censor Librorum.

In 1994, he was appointed Vicar General of the Archdiocese and Moderator of the Curia.

On April 20, 1995, Bishop Lori was ordained to the episcopate as Auxilary Bishop of Washington and Titular Bishop of Bulla, an ancient suffragan see in modern-day Tunisia.

On January 23, 2001, Bishop Lori was named the Fourth Bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport. On March 19, 2001, he was installed during Mass at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Since 1982, Bishop Lori has sat on a number of important committees of the Archdiocese of Washington and the National Conference of Catholic Bishops (N.C.C.B.). Presently he is a member of the N.C.C.B Committee on Doctrine and Subcommittee on Catechesis. He has been a member of N.C.C.B. Committees on Human Values, Education, the Diaconate, the Missions. He has served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Maryland Catholic Conference and the District of Columbia Catholic Conference.

Bishop Lori is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Catholic University of America and the chairman of its Academic Affairs Committee.



Rev. Paul Check
Rev. Paul served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. He is a graduate of the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, Italy. At present, he serves as parochial vicar at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Stamford, Connecticut.



Raymond Guido
Raymond is a senior and an honors student at Fairfield College Preparatory School, a Jesuit high school in Fairfield, Connecticut. He is a member of the National Honor Society, an Eagle Scout and will be assisting at a Catholic Mission in Ecuador in April of 2003. He lives in Shelton, Connecticut.



Rev. Eric Zukerman, SJ
Recently appointed pastor at St. Leo's in Tacoma, Washington, Rev. Eric Zukerman, SJ wrote "Twice Blessed" on his Catholic faith and his Jewish heritage.



Sister Joseph Andrew Bogdanowicz, O.P.,
Sister Joseph Andrew Bogdanowicz is a member of the community of Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist founded in 1997. This new religious community of consecrated women seeks to embody the graces of New Evangelization, which John Paul II announced as "the prelude to a new springtime in the Church." Sister Joseph Andrew lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
